thought it looked small. a MH bulb can cover a 2X2 area. so,,,if you want you can make the box bigger say 42" to equal half the tank.

Updates!

Kmoney and I were in this morning getting our MHs going, but our tools ran out of juice! We have made a spot for the lights and due to cords ect...have changed where we are putting them (right instead of the left).

We will finish up in the morning. Need to put in some fans and paint and should be ready to go!

Yes it will be interesting to see what happens. We are just going to have to be careful on what we place in the tank. With 2 different types of lighting, IMO we are going to have to be much more aware of coral selection (One idea which I want students to research)! Of course we could always start a coral war? Hummm.... Comments or suggestions as always!

You could even conduct experiments using the same coral under both lightings to see the growth difference. That would be fun
