| Torch coral | Thanks Craig! Woody, you could definitely try some anthias, I just hope if you do you have just an easy time with them as I am so far. I've seen them eat every kind of food that I feed to my tank. HBH supersoft, Omega flakes, Cyclopeeze, mysis, and brine. Jiddy, Glad to hear from you again bud, haven't updated your thread recently, hope all is well. I would definitely frag some stuff for you some day, but first I need frags of my own. lol. I actually did end up purchasing the ASM G2 skimmer like you suggested, and finally got it up and running tonight. I got off of my lazy *** and finished my sump project, which may I add is ghetto due to my lack of silicone skill, also finished the plumbing. So now I just have to fine tune the skimmer. I'm buying some caulerpa tomorrow at work, to add to my fuge section which right now just contains about 4-5 in. of aragonite sugar sand. But now I really do have corals on the brain since all of my big projects are complete now, well except for buying a new lighting unit for the fuge, or jerry riggin' my old retro for it. It's running smoothly right now so *fingers crossed* for no leaks tonight. I'll post some pictures of the new fuge setup tommorow.

| Torch coral | LOL! Now the only thing I wish that I did differently when I started this project was to buy a drilled tank, well that and possibly a bigger tank. But it'll have to do for the time being. I've already caught gottahavabiggertank virus. Ideally I'd love something around 200g. ![]()

| Torch coral | Update! Jiddy good to see you back from your hiatus here on RS. The tank has been progressing along nicely the within the last month, I picked up several frags and colonies from a local who was tearing down his tank (pics posted of some below), I also got his sandbed made of southdown that was very well established. We figured it to be in the range of 60-70lbs of sand, so now in my display I have approx 100lbs. of a Southdown/Fijipink/Arag mix, and in the fuge have a 4-5in. DSB. I love the look of the new sand, and it contained so much life, spaghetti worms, brittle stars, and tons of pods! . In the LR department I have approximately 70lbs in the display, and pondering the addition of 30-50 more lbs for some different variety. You ask and ye shall receive, here's some updated shots with my new livestock. I'm completely done stocking my tank with fish, not nearly done adding corals or inverts. LOLHere goes nothing... Full tank shot Misc tank shots End shot Angled shot And now to some of the new corals that I've added. I have now 15-20 zoanthid rocks all ranging in sizes, 2 clove polyp colonies, 2 GSP colonies, a frag of pulsing Xenia, and a candycane. Yellow Zoos Green Eyed Zoos Orange eyed Zoos One of the GSP Clove Polyps Pulsing Xenia And my beauty of a Candy Cane Here's one of my new inhabitants Senor Watchman Goby hitching a ride The other new additions are a 2-3in. Regal Tang, a 3in. Yellow-Eyed Kole Tang, and a Randalls Pistol Shrimp for the Watchman. Both of the tangs are already eating, and swimming like mad. I also added a Pep shrimp to take care of a slight apstasia problem, but if he doesn't do the trick I'm going to pick up some Joes Juice. Hope you enjoyed the pics. I'll try to snap some of the tangs.

| Torch coral | Thanks Wit, truly an honor coming from you. I love watching your thread updates, and seeing what you're up to. Glad you're feeling better after surgery, and I just have to say...that Sohal is amazing! I want to get a few SPS frags this next week, which varieties are good starters? I want something branching or plating with moderate to fast growth rates. My two favorite looking SPS that I would love to keep are the Montipora capricornis, and Montipora digitata. How would those fair in a 3 month old tank?

| Yoda Poohbah~ ![]() | im not a stick and twig man myself,,,as you have seen, my branches are gorgonians,,,lol if the tank is stable, has gone though the algea bloom stage(but you got established sand) then you can try it. one thing about reefing is there isnt a time frame, its ready when its ready. i would start with the montipora digitata, hardy and forgiving.
