mnreefman, the hang on overflow and pump that I was looking into to purchase were also rated at around 600 gph, it would be great if we could work out a deal, how much do you want?

Okay, now to the pics I promised. I tried uploading them to the RS album, but for some reason it didn't work, but here they are anyways. Not too interesting as of yet, but tomorrow I should get some great shots because....my liverock comes!!!! It's like the night before christmas.

By the way, don't mind the dirty looking tank, and the mess underneath.lol. I still have to work on my sump, and I haven't got around yet to cleaning the glass, but I will when my sandstorm settles down, and I start aquascaping.

More updates to come.

Jason

Oh, here's a better undertank shot. Even though there isn't really anything too interesting under there as of now, but in due time!

Hopefully I'll have the baffles, and all of the different sections in the sump by this weekend, and I'll take more pictures of that process. And I also have to hook up some sort mount for my powerstrip so it's tidy and out of the way.

Fiji Liverock!

Well a little later than anticipated everyone, but I always come through when I promise pictures. I got the rock today and it truly felt like christmas. The rock looked even better than I could've ever imagined. I got about 6 pieces of rock, two were pretty large, which I assume weigh approx 10-15lbs. each, and then just some medium sized pieces. They've all got some interesting shape on them, and really I think that it's set up a great base for a reef.

I've been really thinking about it, and for the time being I don't think that I really need anymore rock, I figure through buying my zooanthid and mushroom colonies I will acquire several pieces of rock to add to my pile.

I'm pleased for now with the aquascaping, as you will see below I tried to make a couple of caves, and tried not to stack the rock too high, so my fish have plenty of open swimming room in front of and behind the LR. Overall I'm very pleased with the LR and I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for any at a great price. All of the staff were more than helpful, and everyone answered my questions speedily.

Now on to the pics!

And the current aquascaping! Sorry for the bad pics, but there's quite a dust storm in my tank.

Enjoy!

Ordering the G2 skimmer today! Thanks to Jiddy for that suggestion.

smoke on the water.... fire in the sky... lookin good there!!!!

as far as the electrics are concerned, gina (im pretty sure) has a cool electronic setup in their stand... it consists of some conduit, boxes, and plugs, etc. screwed to the back out of the way.... i might have to try that sometime soon. just make sure you have a breaker or something inline. good luck!!!

First I want to thank everyone for the comments!
I'm very excited that this is finally moving along, but it was definitely worth the wait, and was best to research every aspect of my desired system before jumping into anything. This site has also been incredibly helpful in answering questions, and giving support. So again thank you all.

Corvette, electrical-wise I'm going to be using a GFCI with my powerstrip so that will be a good safety measure, and also I'm going to be purchasing a grounding probe sometime soon to make sure I don't short myself out while working in the tank.

Cheeks, I haven't really noticed any little lifeforms yet, but to be honest with you I haven't really had any time today to just sit and watch my tank, I worked all day today. But I plan on working on my tank tomorrow, so I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for new life.

Tank is clear today, but I haven't had time to snap any new pics. I'll try to get some up tomorrow, I may mess around with the aquascaping a little bit, as I can see that as being a never ending task. It should get better when I start placing corals later down the road, and if I can't come up with a scaping idea that pleases me maybe I'll have to add more rock.
