Where did you purchase the eggcrate material at? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Also I don't know if I missed it somewhere, but what are you going to aim at for a turnover rate?

Your tank keeps looking better and better. Keep it up.

lighting section of home depot. that's where they'll be.

I'm aiming for 800 gph for returns and 1200 gph for closed loop.

I don't know if you already told us this, but are you going BB? Why the eggcrate on the bottom? If you're going BB, then the little holes in the eggcrate will be a place for detritous build up, and you don't want that.

naw, not doing bb. personally I gotta see sand in my tanks. hehe. just have the eggcrate for the LR structural stability. I wanna do some "crazy" stuff that will require LR to have a firm grip on the tank bottom.

That's cool. You got a lot of flow in there, should be fun.

transfer from 30g to 67+ prop now complete!

still need to add another 20lb or so of fiji pink sand and at least another 50lb LR. but at least the transfer is finally done!

I'm not gonna bother getting the aquascaping down yet since i still have to add a whole lot more LR, so for the time being it will look bare.

And having the prop tank in-line makes life easier since I can keep all my corals in the prop tank safely while I spend the next couple of weeks adding more LR and finalizing the aquascaping.

Here's some pics (still cloudy from the sand transfer):
