new lil buddy making his home in a PVC elbow i burried for him, gave him a bunch of rubble, and hes hard at work.

Also, since you tore down your spraybars, what are you running for tank flow nowdays?

What gets me is Witful adds a specific structure for the Goby and it moves right in. If I tried,the fish would ignore it and proceed to tunnel under the one keystone rock that holds it all together.

ahhh,,,but there was a trick to that~i buried the pipe as he was acclimating. in the bucket with him was a PVC pipe. he hid in it. after i built the cave for him. i ziptied several strawberry baskets ontop of eachother to make a fine grid cage. i then took the pipe he was hiding in, and capped the top and cupped the bottom with my hand. placing the basket next to the cave, i lowered the pipe and jawfish into the tank over the buried elbow, moving my palm away as it was directly over the elbow. i then settled the pipe snugly to the elbow. i uncapped the top, and waggled my finger in the top of the pipe. startled, the jawfish swam down into the elbow. i then quickly moved the pipe and put the basket over the cave. weighted it with some rubble, and he settled in~
