Moorish Idol update,,,unfortunately,,,i lost the one that would look at food but would not eat. the other,,is eating mysis and is contantly picking,,he is no longer thin, actually getting a bit fat. im happy to have the success that i have had so far. he is no longer shy and when i approach the tank,,he, as well as th scopas and maroon come over to me. things are looking bright. tough fish, yes, does it depend on the fish yes, for the beginner,,no. rewards,,,PRICESLESS!

Good and bad news!! Congrats on the success of one. It is always sad to hear of a fish passing even if it is with good news of one thriving. Keep us posted. I would like to see pics also. Those are beautiful fish. When I went to Hawaii, we went snorkeling and had the good fortune of seeing them, along with some fish that I have in my tank, in the natural habitat and it was just incredible.

Hey law enforcement is breaking the rules! LOL I'm only teasing. I agree that it is an admirable feat to venture where others have failed. If we didn't take educated risk we wouldn't even have aquariums, or electricity, or fire, or ...........alot of things.
I'm envious Wit, looks great.

after a long, hard, miserable day at work i needed a pick-me-up,,,,so i go to Daves Happyland, the LFS. new fishies had just come in a few hours ago. they got several nice specimens in,,,,including a gorgeous Copperband fly. i was leary of it, its just out of shipping, bounced and whatnot. but, on a fluke i ask if it will eat anything,,,,my friend says honestly,,it just cam in, but threw some live brine in. it was in a tank with a large flame hawk, a yelloa tang and a hippo. those fush swarmed out eating and the CBB went and hid. figures,,,then he throws some more brine in. next thiing you know the CBB is striking and eating like there is no tomorrow. needless to say i nod and its coming home with me. i put him into the tank after what seemed an eterity of acclimating. does he run and hide? no,,he starts swimming around. i just threw some live brine shrimp in...both the CBB and Moorish Idol went nuts.

/me happy!
