Awesome setup. I wish I had the space and money to have a setup like that.

Re: jhnrb 150 reef

Well the original system was designed for 5 skimmers total. CPR CY294 - 2 - 6" skimmers, Euroreef RC 250, Turbofloter 1ooo multi, and CPR refugium pro w/skimmer. Now with some changes the system will have the CPR CY-294 skimmers and the Euroreef. so 3 and I havnt decided on the refuge yet. May not use that one either. The turbofloter was for ozone, but decided to go with the euroreef and feed ozone to that skimmer and then to the cy 294 and then to sump which should dissipate the residual ozone. Carbon filters will be fabricated for the skimmer caps not done yet.

Re: jhnrb 150 reef

I have used the knop in the past and was not pleased with it. The GEO is a recirculation reactor and the 618 is really nice. The acrylic is extruded and seams appear to be well done. Im real pleased with the quality. The calcium material recommended for the reactor is the large size like shuran. The 618 also has a built in probe bushing for a controller. all parts and pieces come with the skimmer. just add pump and you are set to go. Mine came with the Ehime and was predrilled for the plastic screws so the pump could be screwed to the base plate. all commecting tubing and fittings were also provided for the pump as part of the skimmer package. Also there is not an drain fitting in the collection cup. The seller stated this was due to the fact that the geo puts out a very dry foam and should be cleaned regularly for optimal performance so no cup drain was put in, however, you could put one in if desired. I may do that on mine I havent decided yet.

Re: jhnrb 150 reef

Quick update. Calcium reactor feed line off of main pump manifold and return down stream of protein skimmers.

RO system is next.
