Well I white washed the stand and hood today... started early in the morning... doesn't look that much different Trim around the doors is next and that will be some form of dark blue to go with the tile.

Well I finished the painting the trim.... not sure if I like it though!!! It's suppose to be an Oxidized look however, it looks odd! Maybe it will grow on me? I have also added a pic of the Polyps that seemed to have grown all over this one piece of live rock. Not much else has changed, I am looking for some Frogspawn and Birdsnest coral here in the next week or so.

(Picture Above) I was told this was some type of Acropora??
Most of this was just about destroyed when I added the live rock! It actually had some really nice branches, but they fell victim to an avalanche and were broken . It's been a few months but it has all new buds.

the above pic is a montipora digitata. It is a hardy easy growing sps coral. Generally pretty brittle, I'm always fraggin mine on accident.

Anyways I LOVE how your setup looks. Wish I could have incorporated my setup into the room the way you have done.
Maybe someday when I get a house I will be able to make something that looks that well done.

Well I hate to say this but I actually built this in my apartment! Probably not a great idea.... but I have no plans on moving for a while, at least that I know of! Landlord hasn't seen it yet! BTW do you know what type of Star Polyp I have there? It came with the live rock and was an extra~ Thanks for your help with this.

Ok try again.. Briareum. I can't seethe mat that the polyps are coming out of, if it is a greyish purple color and looks smooth when the polyps retract it should be a Briareum.
If it is bright purple or red on the mat then it is probably Pachyclavularia.

Thanks! The mat is more of a light grey to brown color, it is smooth when retracted though. I think you're right about it possibly being Briareum. Thanks again!

Things are looking great! What I really like about your stand are the tiles. They add alot of character to it!

Thanks Gina, I'm still trying to decide if the trim color I used around the tiles is going to stay. I think a darker blue to match the tiles would look better. Don't really know, maybe this color will wear on me?

Personally for myself, I would probably choose a darker blue only for the fact that you have some darker blues in your tiles. I would need to see some more pics at different angles of the color you have right now. If you want honesty here the color the trim is right now, I'm not sure about. Don't be angry!!

Gina, No not angry at all!!! I appreciate the honesty really!! I'm not good with the color thing, but I know that this trim right now is not really doing it for me .

I think the darker blue would work better, in fact that's what I was going to use actually.

Here are some other pics of the doors.
