And very worth it if you and your buddies happened to drop it.
I'd rather have the moving company take responsibilty for such a thing. That is a lot of heavy glass.

I picked up the tank this past weekend. All i can say is WOW! This thing is eurobraced obn the top and the bottom of the tank. THe silicone is really nice and the size's are within a 1/16" of what i ordered! If you want a custom glass tank definately call www.glasscages.com

I ordered the Starphire glass on the front only but they even put it on the sides for no extra charge!

It took 6 movers to get it down my steps!I will be building the stand between christmas and new years and want to have water in it by the end of February!

I do not have a digital camera yet butdid snap some regular pics. When i get them developed i will post them.

Darren,
I'm glad you're happy with the tank. Ive heard nothing but good things about their work. I saw one of their earlier tanks, found the silicone a bit excessive for my taste, but again this was an early tank of theirs. I spoke with them on the phone earlier on this year. Prices were awesome, they were more than happy to answer any and all questions regarding their work and what I might want. Good to see this hasnt changed.

Mike, and Vina....If I recall from my phone conversation with them, they are located in Tennnessee. I was willing to drive down and pick up a tank to save some money on shipping.

I'm definately looking forward to pics of this beast....

The silicone is very well done. It is as good as any tank i have seen in the stores. Nice clean edges and no smearing at all! I amreally impressed. I promise i will get pictures up soon.

Oregonreef is Steve Weast's tank I believe. An 850 gallon beauty, eh?

the tank still sits on the floor. I just need more time and money! to get it up and running. You can see my new rec room has quickly been over run by kid stuff. A rummage sale is coming next month to clean out the old toys and raise money for the tank!!! You can see in the one shot the difference the low iron glass makes in terms of clarity! The stand needs a few more braces and it should be set. I just painted it with marine varnish to water proof it.

Very Nice Darin, Are you planning on any protection for your walls? I heard of some type of plastic sheets that restaraunts use in their kitchens for mildew and rot.
I am looking into doing something like this myself, so im in the note taking mode. Good luck and keep us posted
