| Tubeworm | Hello all This is my AP24. I bought the tank from a friend and he had it set up for a year. We moved it 8 days ago and I have made several changes. I removed a 12 inch brittle star and a sand sifting star and traded them for more live rock. I am currently having a bristle worm population explosion and I have seen 2 that were over 5 inches long. I put the trap in to try and thin them out some. I am planning on putting a 6 line wras in to help thin the population but I am currently waiting a little longer to let the tank settle first. I also have discovered some asitias (Spelling Alert) anemias on some Green star coral so I am planning on putting a couple of peppermint shrimp to control that. Besides that I am planning on adding a firefish goby to complete the fish and getting some different color polyp frags to cover the big rock at the top (anyone want to get rid of some?) Here is the current stocking list 1 Fire Shrimp 1 Blue Cromis 1 Clownfish 1 Emerald Crab 6 Turbo Snails Corals Frogspawn 4-5 Mushrooms Green Star Polyps Unknown Brown Polyps W/ a green dot in the center (frag) Feather Duster Pink Brain Coral (I think lol) Here are 2 pics the first is when I got the tank and the 2nd is from last night Any comments/advice are welcome ![]() ![]() |

| Neon dottyback ![]() | Re: AquaPod 24 My first reef tank was a 24 gallon AquaPod. I am still using it, but it is used strictly as a quarantine tank now. As far as fish, I would recommend against putting a Six Line Wrasse in your setup. The Six Line Wrasse can and will become very aggressive in this size tank. You will be ok in adding a Firefish, but remember that you need to keep the tank completely covered. The Firefish will jump at some point or another. As far as aiptasia, there is no guarantee that a Peppermint Shrimp will eat the aiptasia. IMO, your best bet is to use a product, such as Red Sea Aiptasia X to eliminate the problem. I have had great success with this product in the past. For around $10, you can resolve the problem. Keep up the good work!!!

| Tubeworm | Re: AquaPod 24 Been awhile since I could post work has been crazy with flooding and training ehh. The 2 peppermint shrimp have proven to be exceptional cleaners. All the hair algae and the anemone are cleaned up. Added some corals and a new firefish 2 days ago and all is going well. Hope to have pics up soon.

| Tubeworm | Re: AquaPod 24 Been awhile so time for a update. With the success of this tank my new wife has decided we need to save up and get a larger tank so she can see it from her chair. I showed her some tanks in our lfs and she likes the 150 gallon. I just have to save the money for it now lol. Anyway here is my tank and as usual comments are welcome. http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...911/jan7th.jpg

| Tubeworm | Re: AquaPod 24 Well here is another update Had to move the tank so yet another chance to rearrange the rocks lol. Had to take the clown and cromis out due to them getting a little too aggressive. I got a cardinal and he is dong well. Anyway the new rock scape makes it possible to add some more coral and areas for my shrimp to hide where I can see them lol. Heres the pic and any comments welcome ![]()
