| Serpent Star | Re: Milt's 10g Nano/Frag tank Looking good. I like the fixture you picked out. I think your idea of using something designed to hold a hanging plant is a great idea so long as it can support the weight and keeps it a good distance from the water. Can't wait to see the progress.

| Cabbage Leather | Re: Milt's 10g Nano/Frag tank I received the Fish need it fixture today and im quite pleased with it so far even if it's been less than a day since I got it lol I never dealt with mh before so I have nothing to compare it to, im using the stock bulb but im wondering what would be be a better option. I left the tank running for a week with a rock from my 90g that was fully cured and some sand as well and well it basically had no cycle since all the rock was base rock and had nothing die off. I went ahead and placed a zoa frag and an orange Digi. frag to see how they do this week and go from there. I also placed a ball of chaeto behind a rock while I get a bigger AC filter to make a refugium out of. Finally running with lights, I love the shimmer effect the mh make ![]() Zoa frag after a few minutes in the tank ![]() Digi frag, I just could not get a clear picture of its polyps grrr ![]() |

| Cabbage Leather | Re: Milt's 10g Nano/Frag tank Last week my tank went through the diatom stage that is now gone and now Im seeing tons of pods running around the rocks and sand. The tank is coming to life now, I'm also seeing a tiny bit of green algae growing but not much since the Astrea I added is taking care of it, the tank is approaching three weeks now. One more week and im going to start stocking with more hardy corals and see how it goes, the zoos and digi I have now are doing good so far. I may also end up getting a skimmer so if anyone has an extra one let me know. |

| Neon dottyback | Re: Milt's 10g Nano/Frag tank miltonic, keep us posted on the light. I have the 250w - 20k on my 54 corner and not getting much growth on the frag I've got in there, I think it may be a weak bulb.

| Cabbage Leather | Re: Milt's 10g Nano/Frag tank ^ I feel the same way, I am going to buy a replacement bulb for my fixture soon I just have to figure out which. Also I finally got my Tunze Nano skimmer up and running today and I will be moving my sumped false perc clownfish over to this tank as requested by my mom. Nothing exciting really has been going with this tank really over the past month, I will get pics once I move the fish in. |
