It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!! | Cabbage Leather | Re: SiNiStEr'S Reef> extremely slow 75g reef build ----> ok i decided not get the 75g with the corner overflow and predrilled. Instead I'm going to get 1500 gph overflow kit from glass-holes.com in january hopefully. I will have a 75g tank and I will have this tank in december since now it's almost paid for. I had went and bought 2 cans of krylon fusion black spray paint, so that next month when i get the 75 I'll paint the back. I'm debating if I should paint the side, so what is your opinion on painting the side's?

| Cabbage Leather | Re: SiNiStEr'S Reef> extremely slow 75g reef build ----> oh yeah I got my 75g today and tape and paper it up and painted the back glass with krylon fusion black. It look great looking at it from the front of the tank. So now I have 75g DT, 55g sump/fuge, AquaC Urchin Protein Skimmer. Now I can start working on getting the other small equipment and next year work on getting the catalina lighting like around $550.00. I'm thinking about next month start and go ahead get aragomite sand (sorry if i misspelled it) so with a 75g to have a 4" sand bed, how many pounds of sand will it take. Also what size or combination of sizes? I do plan on having few aquatic life that burrows, so thats why I ask what range of grain size should I be looking at.
