by the way, i was doing spring cleaning and moving things around... i have a tank i tosses some killifish eggs in a tank and forgot about it, its been about two months since then, and took a look in that tank assuming i needed to toss the water, it just stayed so clear so i never tosses it out, this morning i noticed a killi swimming, i guess i need to move him, maybe make him my desk top fish.
the coral depend on the current to carry their food to 'em and also to wash away the waste they produce, the sea horses have a terrible time trying to swim in a strong water current.....

you could keep the horses is in a display refugium with macro algae, there you'd have slower water flow than with coral, its an ideal home for the horses and its beneficial to the system....I have mine in a separate 72g tank with just 2 mj 1200 powerheads on a wave timer, even that is a bit strong for 'em

Re: Willie's plywood adventure

here is some of my mess,I'm not sure how I'm gonna plumb it yet...so its just temporary right now,I had in mind to run 1 of the over flow drains split between my skimmer and fuge and the other drain as a safety, but with the little giant running, both drains are running almost full,so I'm thinking I may feed the skimmer and fuge with a tee off the little giant......my durso's work great...I think I might need to raise 'em a little, the waterfall you see in the pics is noisy

Looks great Willie. This goes to prove that with enough resin anything can be "water tight!"

Re: Willie's plywood adventure

my lights are the odyssea brand,1 was still original the other,I upgrade with the lumatec ballasts and phoenix 14k bulbs....this light is much brighter and looks a lot better than the other,so,I reworked both lights so that both the center mh's are now the same, until I can afford the replace the other 2 stock odyssea ballast and bulbs,......here is before and after pics of that

I think I can live with this change for a while.....I will still replace the bulbs in the outer sockets, but the 2 in the center that are on the lumatec ballasts will be a lot brighter still

Re: Willie's plywood adventure

I finally added baffles to my sump,I hope the silicon will hold acrylic to the epoxy paint, when the water pressure is on it....it feels like it will hold good

I also added a piece of acrylic for my float valve to mount to

I put the silicon on really heavy hoping it will hold better,we'll see tomorrow
