I'm working on adding saltwater now,

I'm only mixing 30 gallons at a time and maybe making 50 to 60 gallons a day of ro/di water....my ro/di is slow,it's supposed to be a 100gpd unit....but my water is a little cool......when it gets to about half way,I'll snap a few more pics

Re: Willie's plywood adventure

LOL it was originally 150, but when i asked the guy whats the lease he'd take for it, he said 50, i though i miss heard him, so i asked again, and he said 50... so i stopped asking questions, i'm going to chop this in two also, and do a ply build, so it being reef ready and actually very nice looking, is unfortunate... i think my dad will kill me cause i made a big deal about this being exactly what i needed to do my projects

$150 would have been a great buy....you got your moneys worth, and then some

doing that is cheaper than buying the glass the size you'd need,so its still a great buy......shame to sacrifice a nice tank, but you have to look at the bigger picture, when its done,it will be a tank, built to your liking

good luck to you,

Re: Willie's plywood adventure

LOL my fear is i'm not going to have enough GPH to do what needs be done. i like the idea of raising Seahorses and Corals, but every thing i read about coral is high GPH and SH no more than a 2-3x turn over. whats the deal with that? why do coral need such a high turn over

by the way, i was doing spring cleaning and moving things around... i have a tank i tosses some killifish eggs in a tank and forgot about it, its been about two months since then, and took a look in that tank assuming i needed to toss the water, it just stayed so clear so i never tosses it out, this morning i noticed a killi swimming, i guess i need to move him, maybe make him my desk top fish.
