| Plate Coral | Well I came across a deal I just could not pass up. I got this tank for $50. Granted, to say it's used is an understatement, but hey, now I have a tank I don't have to be so careful with (I'm a freak about scratches)! The only experience I have with SW is my 24g JBJ Nano. I've also had a 12g Nano. With that said, I am going to need help! I don't know what kind of light it came with, but I'm not sure it's going to be enough. I will check later and let you know what it is exactly. Also it doesn't have the night lights, which I want to get as well. I still need a heater, but other than that it's ready for LR. I've had the LS and water in it since Saturday and will get the rock this week sometime. I am SO excited to design!! This tank is super narrow, which I've never really seen, so it should be interesting trying to arrange things.. Here it is being set up, this past Saturday: ![]() And yesterday morning, water all cleared up! ![]() Thanks in advance for tagging along! |

| Elegance coral ![]() | Re: My very first big girl tank Jess, do not put in too much live rock!!!!! You run out of room for SPS'S and LPS's, I made that mistake and it is stacked too high to put them on and view them. Go slow with the rock. I can not pull mine out now with all the corals, they attach to the rock and compines them. So it compines the rock. Looks like a 55gal, if it is an AGA tank, that should be 48' wide, 12" front to back and 21' high, that is why it does not look to deep from front to back!!!!!!

| Plate Coral | Re: My very first big girl tank Thanks Bob, I do have to be careful with that, not too much rock. I'm actually thinking of going really clean and simple, maybe a long arch or something nifty. But I want to make this one great reef tank so the more room for goodies the better.. We shall see! |

| Elegance coral ![]() | Re: My very first big girl tank Jess, good!!!!! you can always add, but hard to sutract and when you puul the hood with the lights it is hard to see the finished product. I can email you my tank pics if you want and you can see about too much rock if you want. PM me if you want to do that.
