I've been trying to catch a pic of my birdmouth wrasse for months now and finally caught him more than by luck than judement today. They are such busy darting fishes and is the biggest character in the tank. Even though he cleaned me out of hermits, cleaner shrimps, boxing shrimps and other crustaceans, I'd never get rid of him.

And a nice closeup of my prize fish my Emp Angel. I nealr lost him to the ich and the UV was worth a £100 on it's own to save him. I would have been devasted. I've had him a year now and he's just gorgeous . . . . he bosses everyone around in the tank except my hand although he keeps trying . . . . . he needs a gentle push on the side at feeding time to make him remember who's boss

And last but not least some lovely coraline growth I have growing Under my Candy Cane Coral. The algae is as beautiful, if not more so, than some of the corals in the tank. Truely amazing. And only a years growth. Can't wait to see it in 5 years time . . . .

:-)

Looking REALLY ice Bruce...Not many would attempt an Imperator in a reef...But, I think they look great...I kept one for over 4 years the last time I was in the hobby, and when I sold the tank, "he" lived for another 2 or so years, until we had a major power outage while the other fellow was out of town...Beautiful fish, great "personalities..
When you gonna get that newbie helpin with water changes?

Hi BoomerD . . . . . my theory is . . . . if you get them young enough and when I got my emp he was less the 1.5" long then they don't know any better. He very occasional pecks at my zoos but they just close up and he gets bored with them . . . . . he's never touched my SPS or LPS which is of course the main concern as that is where all the money is invested . . . . . . :-)

Sweet!!! Awesome corals and a bird-wrasse too!!!

I love bird-wrasses even though they are typically not reef safe. Beautiful fish.

Brucey, that is a nice looking tank! I first got the bug while I was stationed over there, but had to wait till I got back to the states to get going. Fwiw 10 quid is worth about $18!
