Re: Jeremy's 90 Gallon Build Mayhem!!

very nice purple tang.

I didnt use pvc for my rock work and it turned out very nice and stable it did help that I found a nice piece of dry rock that kind took the form of a cave and i place rock on top to make it higher.

I can't believe how many pages your chronicle already has compared to mine lol

Re: Jeremy's 90 Gallon Build Mayhem!!

If you look at my old chronicle in my signature there is a huge rock in the center that lets you do some hardcore cave action, I will be using it again somehow I think!

Re: Jeremy's 90 Gallon Build Mayhem!!

Im taggin along becuase I will set up my 90 and always looking for tips and ideas. if I ever reenforce the fold up stand I have. Anyway. I like the suggestion of using a grid or cradel work of PVC tubes to keep the rock work solid with zip ties. One quesion = is there any concern about not having flow and proper gas exchange in the PVC tubes that will cause a problem. (similar to old tank syndrome)?

I was planning on it actually being connected with pvc bends that were glued on, for the extra stability but also to make sure no water was able to get into them. Before I glued the final piece on however I was going to fill them with sand or water so they sunk, but I didnt want them to be able to build stuff up in there.

Re: Jeremy's 90 Gallon Build Mayhem!!

Well, you do not know what I have been through just to get here. I do not remember much of the last 2 days, but this morning I was trying to get here and a wall attacked me...and then Becky Jr, kept trying to spin me in my chair...I fought barfing. You need to learn how to appreciate what little effort I put forth. Jeez...

Well in that case I am sorry, and am truly grateful that you fought through such adversity just to come here and tag along, I am forever in your debt!

And I think I am only going to drill one hole in the tank and run the return over the top just so I dont run the risk of cracking the tank for something thats not needed, seems like the sensible option to me. It will add about 3 inches more head loss to the return pump, but somehow I dont think that will effect me too much

lol, thanks for that Scott I only ask because if I know what it is I can get a value as to what its worth and then know how much I can sell it for. Also, what is a good price for live rock to be sold at online. I see it going for about 3-4 bucks per pound, is that normal.
