Here is the start to my next project my ocean motions 8 way system. I've got my sequence dart pump and PVC fittings, 50 ft. of 1" spa flax. I ordered the 8 way ocean motion valve last week and it has been in customs for three days now. the last update on UPS web site was"THE SHIPMENT IS BEING HELD BY BROKERAGE FOR REASONS BEYOND UPS' CONTROL " I have this vision in my head of a box in the middle of a empty parking lot with two men in demolition protection gear backing away from the the box and spooling out primer cord and then ducking behind a blast shield as one of them hollering out fire in hole.

Looks like you have some work ahead of you! I hope your package makes it out of customs soon! I have a bag full of that stuff right now on my coffee table.

Mark, If you don't mind me asking, how much did the 8 way set you back? Is the motor on top for rotation of some sort of flow valve? You still feed it with a big return pump right? Post pics as you build it please!

jim the 8 way Cost me $375.00 and with shipping it came to $395.00

yes the motor on the top turns the drum inside the valve which determines the water flow to the pipe.

I am using a sequence dart for a return pump which flows approximately 3600 gph.

Great job on the set up. Love all the pics! Really like your rock formation, where did you buy your rock, or was it in an old tank? Did you use that stuff to cement your rocks to form those big caves? They look great! Keep the pics coming.

Actually I was wrong on the gph, it's actually 3,500 gph and the pump cost me $194.00 http://www.acropora.net/ and they have free shipping on their sequence pumps right now.

I got most of my rock from reefermadness. I did use some rock from my old tank since then I had removed the old rock back out of the tank. I was having a nitrate problem and I believe it was from the old rock that I was using in the new tank. since removing the old rock I got my nitrate problem under control so in the next couple weeks I will be ordering some more new Live rock to replace the rock I removed.

I was using some acrylic Rod drilled and inserted into the rock to help hold the rock and place along the top of the caves.
