Yup the skimmer is working as good as I hope, it produces three times as much then my old one did. it always produces foam 24/7 except right after I feed.

I've had a downdraft skimmer and a Venturi skimmer and this beckett has
outperformed both of them.

Re: mkpaulson 210 all-glass megaflow

Mark, How did you lay out the measurments for the 2x4 frame for your stand project? It appears that you used the outside tank dims and proceeded from there. Also how deep were cutouts or slots for the uprights? Did you use a dado or router to make these cuts? I've looked at quite a few stand ideas and I keep coming back to your design. Is there anything you'd change if you had to do it over?? Thanks, Brad

Re: mkpaulson 210 all-glass megaflow

Yes Brad I measured the outside of the tank frame and added 1/4 inch to that measurement so the outside edge of the 2x4 framing measured 72-3/4x24-3/4 inch.

as far as the countersunk notches they are 1 in. deep. and I used a skill saw to make those notches, marked out your notches where you want them with the skill saw just make a whole bunch of cuts close together and then move the skill saw side to side. it's a little tricky but it works. but if you have access to a table saw with a dado that might work a little better.
it was quite time consuming to get all of the framing to fit together correctly you may need to file out or use a wood rasp on inside of the notches to get them to fit correctly.
I can't think of any thing I would have done different, I would have liked to have added white Formica to the inside of the cabinet but I didn't have any extra money to add that luxury.
