holy something or other not rude word! That thing will add about 20 gal of wate to your system just by itself! Looks badass though. Let us know how it works out. If i can find oen here id certianly like to look into it. I seen pics of these things before and they definetly got great reviews. Ill be in the market for one soon so if i can justify the extra cost i will certainly do so

I reckon that thing would scoop up the effluent before it comes out of the fish!

Mark,
My MR-4R just got here, were you able to find your 1" flex somewhere local/national chain? For obvious reasons I don't want to hardplumb the recirculating pump, but do something like you with the flex, I am just having trouble finding 2' of flex locally without ordering a whole roll.......
Thanks,
Steve

Steve, Got my 1 in. spa flex and 1 1/2 spa flex from Home Depot and Lowe's. they both sell it by the foot, I just got my skimmer running Tuesday and it has been producing foam on a regular basis, best skimmer I never bought!

Well finally got my skimmer up and running I set it up Saturday night and come to find out they forgot to install the beckett injectors. so I contacted Andy my reef creations and the next day air two ejectors out Monday and I received them Tuesday. it has been a very good experience dealing with Andy at my reef creations. the response the e-mail's extremely fast and I ordered the skimmer Sunday and it was sent out Wednesday got e-mail notifications and the skimmer arrived Friday. it is one of the best constructed pieces of equipment I have bought yet. Gina the dimensions on a skimmer are, box is 12x12 the first rise is 8 in. diameter 12 in. tall, second riser is 4 in. diameter 6 in. tall the total height is 32 1/2 in.

surprisingly No, this skimmer is very quiet the pump is outside the cabinet right now I can hear the pump but it's not too bad.

I need to relocate the skimmer a little bit away from the tank and I am going to try to put the pump inside the cabinet.
