Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

ok so i recieved my order from blue zoo yesterday, and im satisfied, but also disatisfied.
over all as of now i would rate them a 6. depending on how the email i will be recieving in the next couple of days goes i may be happier, or less impressed.

lets go through the goods, and bads.
Goods~
tripple bagged everything
nothing DOA
no leaks
added everything i requested in my additional two calls. lol
Wrasse looks AWESOME
few extra crabs

Bads~
had to wait over one week for onyx snails to be in. when i placed my order they were in stock.
got wrong Zoanthids!
the zoas i ordered are now not in stock, and i dont know wha to do. ( email coming soon )

not very many bads, but enough to make me mad. sending the wrong coral really makes me mad.

pics of the wrasse!

As you can see i went crazy during my photoshoot. lol.
the wrasse looks very healthy, and chubby
the way it picks at my rocks makes me wonder if its already doing its job?
NAME IT FOR ME, other fish too lol.

Heres the ugly coral i recieved. its not bad, but compared to the " halloween zoanthids" this is crap.

also two days ago my dads clowns spawned!
( top down shots always come out blurry for me )

.. interesting. dentoid, look familiar?

sorry it took me so long to get the wrasse and what not up here. im a pocrastinator, and did my 3 page essay all last night and it was due today lol

Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

That looks like a healthy wrasse. Nice addition. So they sent you zoanthids that you didn't order? Are you sure they aren't the ones you ordered? Sometimes they Photoshop the pictures on the site to make them appear more colorful then when you get them they don't look so hot. If they did send the wrong ones, then, I'm sure, they will make it right.

Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

They look similar to me and the Halloween zoa has an actinic light on it that gives it more color. Neither one of them looks like the photo you posted. They are are more vivid. They were both Photoshopped or color enhanced I assure you!

Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

i really want the halloweens i ordered, or
Metallic Pink Zoanthids - Zoanthus spp.
they both look nice, i would prefer the ones i ordered though. theres no way i got what i ordered.
i realize they wont be that bright, especially with my crappy lighting, but it has to be pretty nice, right?

Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

hmm, my anemone used to be hidden under a rock (getting no light )
then it moved half way out, and that half turned brown.
now its all the way out and its all brown.
this is strange under Pcs, and on the sand bed right?

anyways, i wa thinking, if an anemone is gaining teh zooanthellae in my tank, would a clam be ok in my tank too? that would be awesome to have a clam lol

You need very high light for a clam.

Re: New Reefers 55 gallon Reef Experiment

thats what i was thinking, but you need teh same requirements, if not greater for anemones. thats why i thought i may beable to keep a small clam

You should have no problems with a T. derasa.
