I've always like the Quiet one pumps. More flow than the Mag 9.5 and less watts. I think it might be cheaper too. Here you go. Submersible-External Pumps 600-1200 gph - D&T Aquarium Supplies- Product Info - Quiet One Model 4000 Aquarium Pump, Rainbow Lifegard. 1017 gph max flow

| Cabbage Leather | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef Sorry to double post but I went and did some shopping today. I got some essentials to continue with my project so here are some pics so you can see what I got and get some feedback.I got two Koralia 4's ![]() A 29 gallon tank (12.5w x 18h x 30L) to use as a sump and some glass cut out to use as baffles. ![]() and some PVC that I will use for my return pumps plumbing, I did forget what the two smaller lose pieces are for xD anyone help? (thats why the pic is big so you can read the tags) ![]() I also ordered the Quietone 4000 return pump from the site in the link above. feedback and suggestions would be great. |

| Plate Coral | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef Is there anyway you can take back that 29g? A 20L would be much better. The height on those 29g make it hard to fit under a stand with a decent skimmer. The more room to full around under your stand the better! You could always get the same glass cut again. Nice job on the Koralias and Quiet one. You'll have plenty of flow to keep whatever!

| Tridacna maxima | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef I agree about the 20L, i love mine and wouldnt go much taller than that. And you will be really happy with the HK powerheads, they are AWESOME. I run two 1's and a 4 and have NO problems with flow.

| Cabbage Leather | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef I don't know if I can take it back now since I ripped some of the tags but If I end up using it, I don't think it'll be too bad since my stand is on the big side here are the inside measurements: 17 ¼”w x 47 ¼”L x 28 ½” h |

What skimmer are you going with? Make sure your baffles aren't to tall in the skimmer section or you'll probably have to put the skimmer on a stand making it hard to get it in and out for cleaning. I have a 29g for my sump and a Msx 200 that should sit in about 10inches of water. So I had to make a stand for the skimmer to sit on because my baffles were to high. Now it's hard to take the skimmer out.

| Cabbage Leather | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef My skimmer is the ASM G-2 w/ Sedra 3500 Pump and I got the skimmer baffle cut to be 12 inches but if thats too high i'll go get it recut to 10 or 11 inches. I am going to try and return the tank Thursday but i don't know if they'll take it back without tags :s |

| Cabbage Leather | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef Thanks for your support! ![]() That tank is amazing and it gives me lots of inspiration on how I want my tank to look like. In other news, I started looking at lighting and It will definitely be the single most expensive thing I have to buy at once. Im considering the Coralife 48 Inch Aqualight Pro, 2x250W HQI Lamp + 2x96W CF Lamps Sq. Pin + 4x1W LED but not 100% sure yet and don't have the money for them yet (gives lots of time to decide while saving up for them after the tank is set and live rock is curing), If anyone has an extra 1000 bucks laying around please let me know :P |

| Plate Coral | Re: A Tank for xx - 90g Reef If it were me buying lighting for a new tank I would go with these....FS 3x400MH SE You'll be able to upgrade your tank later on(There will always be a upgrade). Also with 400w you could go with a very blue bulb(radium 20k) and still get enough Par to keep anything. Hey and you just saved 650 bucks for livestock,Ro/Di unit,Neptune controller,Calcium reactor! Quote:
