Re: A Reef for xx - 90g Reef

Miltonic,
I keep cruising my LFS's trying to luck into picking up a pectinia like the one in your tank. About a month ago they had one ORA Blue Iris frag that looked just as cool as yours. I snagged it immediately. It's been encrusting well and I think there has been some branch growth, too, but that is pretty subtle. Under my lights (pretty high up in tank under 14K 250 watt MH). The whole frag has turned blue like the tips were when I first got it. I am hoping as it grows the more proximal parts of the branches will turn green again as I really liked that look (the all blue is pretty cool, too, however).
I really enjoy following your thread, your tank is very nice...keep the pictures coming.
Where'd you get your pectinia, by the way? LFS or on-line?
Kurt

Re: A Reef for xx - 90g Reef

hey Kurt, Thanks again for following my thread and I'll probably have new pics up tomorrow. Glad to see someone else who picked up a blue iris, mine is about mid lower level in my tank so it still has the green with blue tips and I've noticed is fast grower since i can see that it starting to cover the plug. I picked up my Pectinia at my LFS here called "That Fish Place" their site also goes by that name so maybe you could check it out. If you really can't find one anywhere I can recommend someone I know who could get one for you and ship it to where you are, just pm for details.

Re: A Reef for xx - 90g Reef

Not much has been going on lately besides my corals growing and looks to me like thriving too. I can say now that my reef is no longer under construction and from now it will only continue to mature and I will keep learning. I've had many additions coral wise, mainly frags over the last couple of weeks that I haven't been able to get decent pics of all of them being that they are small and with my busy work schedule, I just can't find the time I will get some for you guys though. I also added a new fish to my stocking after many months without any fish additions, I just put it in my tank tonight so I couldn't get pics since I planned to add it when it was dark so the other fish wouldn't see it.

here's some other pics I took but they aren't from any of my new additions unfortunately but I will try to get some tomorrow!
