Re: sambrinar's 75 gals office sanity

Alrighty.. Definately clearing up. I took picts before I dug out the rock on the bottom, need to move some sand to the back to even it out. there is a large rock in the middle under the sand and on the left as well. the scape is not finalized that is for sure.

4 shrimpies floating to kick start the cycle Yes they are in pantyhose for easier removal

I will take more picts on Monday too... so hold on to your seats!!

1. stock coralife 50/50 light on

2. light off.. Hmm you can see my reflection in this one,,, Ignore that LOL

For something that's suppose to be relaxing, you sure seem aggravated!

Why are your clownfish black and white? Were they cheaper because they're the wrong color?

sticking with the 29 gallon!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Re: sambrinar's 75 gals office sanity

I was looking at the pics again & I love that deep sandbed look! I wish I was as brave as you, setting that up in your office. I got a 1 gallon for a Betta & snail for my office, but it's never left the house b/c I couldnt stand the thought of it being there all weekend by itself, lol.

Re: sambrinar's 75 gals office sanity

Thanks guys! The sand bed looks that deep b/c there is not much in the back. I moved some yesterday, and dug out some of the rocks before I left.

Kim you really know how to make someone worry over the weekend. LOL

The good thing though we did test the sump in case of a power outage, overflowed it once! Just once. Now when the pump is off it is about 2" below the top of the sump before it will overfloweth!

The return is slightly under the water and it was sucking water from the DT back to the sump, one vent hole and waa laa fixed!

Stay tuned for Monday!

Re: sambrinar's 75 gals office sanity

Lol, I wasnt trying to make you worry. I meant, didnt want to leave "the fish" alone for the weekend b/c I'm wanna "those" that talk to the fish everyday & he's the only fish in the tank!

Glad you got the sump plumbing figured out, it took me 2 days to get it just right before I could sleep!

Monday? So that means no more pics until then? You will have to make up for it!
