Just a suggestion. You might want to put that astreopora in an open area either in the sand or in the lower open, if there is such a thing in your tank, rock area. They tend to grow out like a ball and are likely to kill anything (acros) they touch, sort of like a hydnophora. Sometimes they plate out instead of growing like a balls depending on the original shape of the colony. Is you put it in the sand without touching rockit will continue to get denser like a ball.

Gorgeous one by the way.

looks great luis, and the pics look great also

Q, how do you go about placeing the corals when introducing them to the tank, do you adjust the lighting period, etc?

Thanx DS.

Alberto great suggestion, and I appreciate you offering your expertise to make my reef look healthier and beautiful. I will follow your advice ASAP. Question: Will the Astreopora not be harmed with direct contact from the sand? Moon or any favite corals do well on the Substrate, but if they burry a little that portion of the coral generally dies. Will not that be the case here?

Thanx a lot for your opinion Doctor:-)

Thanx TD. I place the corals on the substrate for a couple of days and then I generally place them where I think they belong according to the species. The lighting periods remain the same. Right now I have my 3 MH running 9 hours, the VHO's run 11 hours and the moonlights run 24-7

In this picture the Divaricata already loves this new placement. The acropora Divaricata here looks sort of Rasberry in color.

Thanx Craig:-)))))))))))))))

The Solitaryensis to the left of the Red Orange Montipora Foliosa has a pretty awesome Blue Edge. I hope it stays this way:-)

He is a great fish Craig. He eats right out of my hand and likes to thread through my fingers back and forth. He is amazing, the Orange back has been harrasing him as of lately, not sure why.

Here is my Acropora Cerealis with neon green polyps.
