i'm painting it today to seal it. then goes on plywood. but a thought came across me. how do i get the sump and refuge tanks in?... i guess plywood will wait until i get the tanks in there. at least the plywood on the top anyway

well i sort made a beginning stand builder mistake lol. i can only fix something 10in wide into it. so iam going to use 2 rubbermaid containers for the sump and fuge. pics in a bit

I bet after having that stand for about a year or so, you're going to be so pissed trying to get things in and out from under it... That you upgrade you're tank...

ahh i would have upgraded bigger. i am only 14 so upgrades are rare and spread out. i will most likely rebuild the stand in a year or so and put some tanks under there, but for now 2 rubbermaids will work fine. thanks for posting on here. will cut some more plywood after the move. forl now its on a standstill. we will be moved there in a week or so then its plumbing finish the stand find a lfs down there and eventually purchase a ro/di unit. and no corals till summer as there will only be a 24in flouresent fixture over there so the fish can see

You're only... 14? Are you kidding me? You're a crafty lil bugger then. For sure. Ya, the rubbermaids will work for now and such just be sure to buy some good ones. My dad called me a couple hrs ago and told me the trash can he uses for RO water, much like I use for mixing saltwater sprang a leak... or cracked.. or busted... iunno.. regardless of how it happened... he just got freshwater all over the floor. Haha. I told him he probably had the heater to close to something and melted it. Be careful and mindful... but keep up the great work...

thanks for the kind words. i told my mom i need to get a brute trashcan after i get a ro/di unit and she just stared at me like you are crazy. you should of seen my first stand i ever built... it was horrible never got used i just tore it down and rebuilt it. always use srcews because i messed up once already and had to take them out and recut some pieces. alos cut your own wood. don't get homedepot to.. they never make good cuts except for on plywood.
