| Scopas Tang  | big move and upgrade! i'll keep it fairly short for now cuz i'm tired. but 1st of a big thanks go out to jon (nahtanoj), michael (reefjanitor), and my bros. steve and dan! i would have never been able to to the setup let alone the move without them all.......thank you! so relatively short tank move from pt. loma to little italy began at 9am starting with pictures and water xchange.........long story short it's now 6:45 pm and we just finished an hour ago! nobody got hurt or killed and only a minor injury to the corner of the tank.....no leaks, no big! anyway how about some pics? ok here we go........ classic jon expression thinking "what did i get myself into?"    dan and steve thanking me for a football sunday well spent!  jon and michael doing all the technical stuff!  dan and steve not doing plumbing..they're just lifters  dirty water     |

| Scopas Tang | Re: big move and upgrade! they are lights on loan until i figure out and buy a new setup.....these are 3 x 250 and 8 t5s not sure wattage .......it's the day-after the big move and things have def. cleared but there's still a lot of particulate matter.....the skimmer has been working overtime and is producing tons of skimmate. .......the sandbed was minimal (less than an inch and bare glass visible in areas) but i was still concerned about all the nutrients, phosphates, nitrates, etc.....i'll test the water today to see how things are....the 2 tangs are still a little skittish but all of the corals look pretty good w/ good polyp extension. |

| Scopas Tang | Re: big move and upgrade! a few update pics 3 days after the move. i did a little aquascaping and realize i need more lr. my plan is to add more a little at a time to avoid die-off nitrate spikes. and to build pinnacles using acrylic rods......all in due time.     all 3 tangs      thanks for viewing and commenting........any suggestions? lance |

| Scopas Tang | Re: big move and upgrade! so a few things.......added a really cool fish today.....maori wrasse....real nice markings around the face and the eyes are awesome......also got a great piece of tongan branch rock. the thing is nice n big at 10 wompin' pounds!....bad news though looks like the kole and maybe the scopas is infected w/ ich.....so i'll be buying garlic, vitamins, etc tomorrow. anyway pics..   new maori wrasse..     kole posing with his ich?  thanks for the look! |
