Re: OK a 65 G Slowly but the best i can make it

I will have 3 years there more than likely after the 2 I have put in up here, just because of the way colleges work with credit transfers and everything. I am not too worried about it, i LOVE learning stuff so college works for me, and another year at a beach college...oh darn!!

About the eggcrate, no, its not needed. Most people just set it down as a way to offer more stability to their LR, and to save the bottom from scratches. If there is nothing in the tank yet I would lay it down before hand, but if its an established tank no need to stir everything up for some eggcrate....

Re: OK a 65 G Slowly but the best i can make it

Never though about the scratch, in my biocube it already in , but this next one i'm making sculptures in it. They'll be at 3 1/2 inch above the glass, so they wont be touching the glass. This way with a 2 inch sand bed, i have 1" of space for better flow under the rocks.

Re: OK a 65 G Slowly but the best i can make it

if the rocks are not resting on the bottom I dont really think it will matter if you have it then. How are you going to raise the rock?

Where are those rocks?
Jeremy is right on the eggcrate. It is just there to stabalize the rocks particularly when you have digging critters. With your rockwork you should be just fine.

Re: OK a 65 G Slowly but the best i can make it

Ok ok , i've displayed them on the table, for size.

I got 30lb in all. To do the sculpture i might have to chop some of the bigger ones into smaller ones. Those big ones are called Nano, wow. i hate to see the big Kahunas. the rubbles are percfect for the filling and the backwall. I estimate i have enough for the first sculpture and some for to start the back wall. I'll have to order more probably another 45 lb, to do the rest of the wall and the second sculpture.
