My 46 gallon LPS Tank - Page 2

Thanks for the kind words. I feed my dendro, duncans, and acans. I do wc's every other week with 5 gallons. I have a pretty light bioload. I really would like to get some more flow in there but not much more especially in the back where detritus tends to settle. It is on my list of things to do. I would say I have med to low flow. Do you want me to get a video? It might help you get an idea...

sure if you want to add a video i would watch. I think my flow is to high. the way your tank looks i wouldnt add anymore flow. Iam having to aim my 2 koralia II's off of rocks and glass so that i dont get to strong of a flow messing with my lps. I still cant get my open brain to bring its tenticles out. Do you dose anything in your tank. I have been battling at balance with my alkaline levels and my calcium levels. I think iam going to switch to a supplement that has a balanced calcium and alkaline dosing. Iam really considering spot feeding my Frogspawn. i did it today and it responded great. I dont think it has been getting any food.
what are your water parameters.

I don't really dose anything regularly...When I do test and see things are off I does accordingly. I use the brightwell aquatics stuff. It is super concentrated and you get more for your money. I'll try to get a video tomorrow. I haven't tested in a while...I have a half day at school wednesday so I'll do it then.As you can see my frogspawn is a monster and I don't do anything to it.

looks good, if you want to take away some of the blue, remove some actinics and add reg. white lights..

That's the thing thought, it looks good in person but the camera makes it blue.

I picked up a aussie elegance and acan frag today from work. The acan has a purple rim with rainbow colors iside it. It was still opening and coloring up at the store but it was too good of a deal for me to wait for. Pics will be up when they open...Most likely tomorrow.

Here is the acan.It hasn't opened up yet but you can see the colors.It has some awesome potential. Look at the polyp in the top left. You can see a lot of color.

The elegance has to open a little more but it's looking pretty good.
