Very nice. I've ran a Mag 24 and a 36 and both run pretty quiet. The 36 runs a bit louder but I'm hoping some new plumbing will help out with that.

I need to remove the curing rock from the sump before I can add the baffles. That will mean the 100th trip to HD

Very nice cube. I ahve a 24x24x16 sitting in my garage. After I move, I will turn it into a softy/ seahorse tank. I am going to use a single 150 watt DE 20K bulb over it.

Robert/Cheeks,
Looks very nice! I'm definately getting jealous here. Couple of questions for ya:
Who made the tank? Not asking for a specific price, but do you feel it was reasonable? WIll you be going BB, DSB or SSB with this?
One thing I noticed from running a single 175 watt MH over my 20 for a long while was that placing corals in the tank was an effort, due to the position of the lighting. Since I only had a single source of light above the tank, sometimes the bottom/lower/sides of a coral would bleach, (depending on where it was located in reference to the light) becasue it wasnt receiving enough light. Is there any way you can get another source of light above the tank to run in conjunction w/ the 250? Maybe a couple of PC's or possibly another 250 w MH, that you could set up to run opposite of the other...ie....MH 1 runs for 6 hours from 10am-4pm, MH 2 runs from 4pm-10pm. This would give you two sources of light and not heat your tank up more than one MH, also will cut down on your Electrical bill...
just thinking out loud.
Nick

http://www.aquariumsbythesea.com/ was the manufacturer and for the tank stand and canopy it cost me under $2k.

I'm going with a DSB. I know people are moving away from using them because eventually it will have to be replaced because of phosphate and metal buildup but I really like gobies and the look of the SB and I realize in time I'll have to replace it.

I'm using the one halide and I'm also going to take apart my coralife PC fixture and use both 65w PC's in conjunction with the halide.

Why Thank you...Thank you very much
