how lond did it take that sps to go from brown to green?
That Acro actually bleached and I thought it was a goner but left it in the tank anyway. After a about a month I began to see a couple of polyps and now this is what it looks like. I liked the old color better but I'm happy it survived.

Kyle I had two of them. The first one was swallowed whole by my Haddoni carpet Anemone and the second one I decided to remove from the tank and return it to the LFS. These fish have an enormous apetite and he eventually would become too big for my tank. I also wanted to keep Gobies in my tank and it was impossible to keep them without my Trigger shredding them apart. They are a beautiful fish with a very unusal swimming pattern but really belong in longer tanks.

Re: My new Cube !!!

oooo oooo (hand raised, waving) I have questions too!!

Are those THREE clams? So cool...

Do you have problems with the rock/coral against the sides of the glass like that? I'm following the "beginner" suggestions about leaving room to vacuum.

And what do you have as a cleaner crew?

Yes they're Tridacnad Clams, 2 Croceas and 1 Maxima.

The tank is made out of 1/2 acrylic so I don't have any concerns about the rock touching the sides or the back.

I have a small cleanup crew which consists of about a dozen Nassarius snails, dozen Tronchus snails, one Mexican Turbo snail, two Fighting Conchs and about six Hermit crabs and a Serpent Starfish. I don't vaccum or touch the sandbed as the Conchs, Nassarius, Bristle Worms, Asterina Starfish and a bunch of other infauna that came with the LR and LS I added take care of any uneaten food/detritus.

Re: My new Cube !!!

Well acrylic is much stronger than glass so if there's a rock slide or rock against the back or sides I'm not really concerned about a catastrophic event. I know you were talking about room to vaccum but I've never vaccumed my substrate and it's been 3 years in this tank and some of it came from a previous setup and to date I've had no problems with detritus accumulating.

Re: My new Cube !!!

ah, gotcha. I was wondering about scratching and vacuuming. I like fiddling with the tank but if I could get enough cleaners to forego vacuuming I might not have a problem with that. I don't have a very deep sand bed though, only about an inch so I'm reluctant to get a lot of critters that eat from the bed.

No changes really except I lost one of my Tridacna croceas. It started to show some pinched mantle and I gave it a FW bath which was a big mistake, it died a few days later unfortunately. When I clean the front pane I'll post some photos.
