its at our gulfarium. there like a undercover fish store lol. since its like a public aquarium they make more money then lfs so they can charge lower prices. they have over like 13 different species of tangs for sale. they really like there tangs there. but also there premium lr is $4 a pound

i'm going to add 2 or 3 peppermints to this tank now that my six line is gone. is this a good idea or too many shrimp?

One banded shrimp per tank and 1 peppermint for every 5 gal this site says.

I hope to ditch my Hydor 3 and get a vortech at some point in life. Thats my big wish. They are good inexpensive water movers tho... Hydors I mean...

yea i am debating doing a k5 for my 55g. with a mag 9 or 9.5 return does anyone think it is two much. it has to go about 4 ft up with some 90s so...?

For the too much flow imo i dont think so, thats about 1650 for the K5 and ~750 for the mag 9.5 after loss due to height and bends, so you are looking at close to 2400gph, which is about 300gph less than what i run on my 55, so I think that would actually be really nice for your tank. What I would suggest though is to change that plan, have the mag 9.5 return, and maybe run a 4 and a 3 or some configuration like that, that way you are getting more gph for less money and it can be spread out better, that would be about 20-25 bucks cheaper and yield you around 400 more gph. Its just a thought though, i run a mag 9.5 return, (2) HK 1's, and an HK 4.

Mya, about that HK3, if you get rid of it give me a call, i could use something that size
