Well, good news today- Ammonia is now 0.0 whoooa! Nitrites and nitrates are spiking, 4.0 and 100 respectively. Looks like Im on the way now. Cant believe how exited I am over the ammonia going down- like a kid in a candy store...

Just a fabulous job putting it all together John.

How long did your tank take to cycle ?

Thanks Cheeks- I put the Kealini LR in on the 24th of Mar, and added some Fiji on the 1st of Apr. Ill be adding the about 1" of sand once the nitrates fall, then a clean up crew.

Do you have some kind of green light at one end, or is that just the way the camera took the pic?

Lookin awesome... can't wait to see the next pix.

Thanks all for the encouragement,

No Dave, its just a reflection as far as I can tell. I didnt photoshop the pic at all. I am getting grn dust algae now on the glass, I did swipe it before the pic, so that might be it. Just part of the new tank syndrome I think- I didnt get this with my other tanks but I never used fresh rock before.
