Unfortunately I had already used it. When my vendor was out of Weldon and suggested this stuff, I assumed it was similar. I used it not knowing it was just stupid superglue! I stopped and asked about it...so it was too late . It's going to be fine though, I'll bet the fish won't care if the acrylic is cloudy in the collection cup!

That might be a good idea! Gail isn't bashful about putting visitors to work in trade for good food.

True, the fish won't even notice that.
Glue is glue as long as it holds.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Akwar'eum Too

I've been chatting with Frankie in the beckett build thread about the size of the skimmer. I think I'm building mine too large! It was going to be almost twice as big as his. I never did find numbers to use, I was just guessing at sizes. Depending on his answer to my last questions, I may change the size of it. It was going to be 74 inches tall total, wouldn't that be impressive!? (I am 71 inches tall). I think Frankie said his is a little over 50" tall. I may cut 10" off of the tubes now that I have actually seen the numbers in black and white! I don't need to get carried away here...

My lumber is being delivered tomorrow morning and my glue should be here also. Obviously Jody let me down delivering on Friday. I have a construction friend coming over to help me put in the header over the tank in the afternoon. Then I can stud the wall out and cut the opening into the living room. Wish us luck that none of the sheetrock buckles and cracks when the old studs come out. I hate repairing sheetrock!

Pictures will come later...

Good luck, Greg! And I agree, there isn't ANYTHING worse than repairing drywall. I despise that job.

I have faith it is going to go well! I will take the proper precautions..and then some. It's not like I'm taking the entire wall out, just seven feet. I'll have the ceiling braced well on both sides so it should be fine. But just in case, Scotts on speed dial!

Re: Akwar'eum Too

I've been thinking, I don't know that I would want a skimmer cup that sits taller than I am. Imagine reaching up to take it off to clean it and slipping and it.....
