I used #4 for the initial seam, then ran a bead of #16 along each of the seams, just to make sure. I never had a leak.

#16 is what my vendor carries for joining plastic mouldings so that's what I'll get. Thanks for the techy stuff Sas! I've used my router as a jointer to get the seams smooth but will definately finish up with the scraper.

Ha! My delivery guy is coming on Friday instead of Monday this week and I've ordered two large tubes of #16 along with my mouldings and matboard. Living right seems to be paying off!

Just a tip, wear skin tight rubber gloves when you're working with that stuff. It will eat the skin right off of your fingers. The #16 is SO much easier to work with but the #4 gives a slightly stronger bond, but the #4 is a SERIOUS pain to work with. You won't have any problems with the #16. As long as the pieces fit together perfectly that is. It won't fill gaps.

We have finished the guest bedroom and have it decorated mostly. This is where you will be staying when you come visit! I hope you like it...

I have a 60mm fixed lense and couldn't get far enough away for a room shot so I took several and stitched them together. It's a beautiful room! Gail is so excited about it.

My construction friend came over and brought his main man to look the wall situation over. It only cost me two Newcastle beers! They are sure I can do it myself and gave me clear instructions on how to go about it. They also said to use 2x12's to make the header and (I quote) "Glue and nail the piss out of it". So I ordered the lumber today to be delivered Monday. I also bought a case of Liquid Nails.

I have all of the Beckett pieces finished and waiting for the glue to arrive. Hopefully that will be tomorrow if Cody (the delivery guy) comes through for me like he said. I used the other glue on the collection cup and since it was super glue like, it gassed out and really clouded the acrylic!

I have some acrylic polish and am going to try to clean it up with that. Since it's the collection cup I'm not overly worried about anything thing bad getting back to the tank from it. I'll clean the cleaner off really well too. If it doesn't clean it them I'm S.O.L. and will have to use it like it is.

That's it for tonight.

Oh yeah, the Braves won a road game!! Woo Hoo!

Nice Craig. The paint hasn't even finished drying and you're booking reservations. I like the way you roll.

Did you order a case of newcastle to go with that case of glue?

And if you scroll back a couple pages.......

I told you not to use the superglue! lol Hope it turns out the way you want.
