| Tridacna maxima | Re: Akwar'eum Too I've pretty much finished the injector housing... ![]() I installed the air inlet upside down so the flange wouldn't interfere with adjustments. It's nowhere near as good looking as any other one I have ever seen but it should work and I can clean it easily if needed. I made the bubble plate.. ![]() and put it where it goes... ![]() I finished my flanges. Here is the riser tube topper.. ![]() and the collection cup... ![]() I'm going to Gainseville Rubber and Gaskets tomorrow to get the gasket material. I expect the bulkhead fitting tomorrow also so I should be able to assemble everything after I get the last hole for that drilled. One other thing I did today was get the sheetrock down so I could see what I was dealing with on the tank wall... ![]() I'm afraid that blown in insulation is going to be nasty! That is a load bearing wall so I have to shore it up with a header over the tank. At least there are no wires to relocate. Thank the Lord for that favor! More tomorrow...

| Golden Moray | Re: Akwar'eum Too great job on the DIY Greg, the bubble trap looks like it was a PITA to make. i'm looking forward to seeing your header work, it shouldnt be too bad. what size are you going with 8x8?

| Tridacna maxima | Re: Akwar'eum Too The bubble plate was one of the easier parts actually. It just took a while to drill all those holes! I had thought of using 2- 2x10's sandwiching 1/2" plywood as the header for a stretch that long. It will be 7 feet. I want to get some of my construction friends over here for this one though since it's such an important structural part of the house!

| Golden Moray | Re: Akwar'eum Too yea, 2x10s would be great. for a 7ft area i think that would be more than enough. glad to see you're going the extra mile to ensure its done right the first time.
