| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: Akwar'eum Too Aw man Greg! That sucks. Just keep in mind that your beautiful piece of art IS designed to be full of dark green crud ergo a few cracks and patches mean very little if the beast performs as designed. Smear bubble gum on that sucker if it helps it skim. Sorry for you troubles though.

I feel terrible i did not find this thread sooner, I would have told you not to balance hammers on the cup. ![]() You did an awesome job with the build Greg. Let me know how it works out with the trick i told you on the phone today. It might be hard for you to tell if the 2" tube fills up with foam though being it's white. I will get some pictures of what it looks like coming out of the bottom. That should help you some. Again, great job buddy! You should be proud. ![]()

| Tridacna maxima | Re: Akwar'eum Too Thanks Frankie,... but, uhhhhhh, you played a mean trick on me. I built mine while looking at your thread and I oriented my injectors the way you pictured in the first completed injector photo not realizing ... that was UPSIDE DOWN! It won't work that way! I know because I tried and water shot out of the air injection ports. So I checked your build thread more closely and in the completed skimmer photo I noticed the injector was different. I turned mine around and they work very nicely. All of my leaks are now stopped and the skimmer is running. I think I need to use the bigger pump because the little giant won't run both becketts with enough force to produce enough foam, but it WORKS and is a thing of beauty in all it's repaired ugliness!. BTW, my rock came today and I wasn't ready for it. I expected it tomorrow so I am mixing salt in the curing vats and the skimmer is providing the flow. The vats work fine so far. I'll put in the rock once the salinity specs out.

| Fuzzy Sticks ![]() | Re: Akwar'eum Too Cool dude! It still looks a little diluted. The foam should be as white as the pvc tubes. Mine is anyhow. Did you open the beckett housing and let the tube fill up with foam?
