Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sounds really cool but I am confused. How do you make a tank out of plywood? Wont the water just soak through? Do you coat the whole inside with silicone or something?

Its a 2 part epoxy paint used in huge drinking water storage containers and zoo aquariums

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

So essentialy you only need one pane of glass and then the rest of the tank is plywood coated by two part epoxy paint. Very interesting. In this case probably best used if it is an in wall tank since you can only see the front anyways. So I bet this is probably the cheapest way to go. Sounds very interesting and this is def. going to be a subscribed thread for me!!

Holy smokes! You did all that today?! That gives, "Moving right along" another meaning! Or should I say, "Where there's a will, there's a way"!
I'd say the beer helped you out! Nice job!

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

glass guy said he has to ask the warehouse about saphire

he also said the safety glass is super strong but if you tap on it with something sharp it will shatter, I dunno if thats good or not for a tank?

I thought it was the same thing!! I will have to call him in the morning before he places the order.

If my only options are safety or regular, which one should I get?
