Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just thinking about that Frankie, pour some concrete and place the first concrete block in it? then stack a couple more on it and skip the 4x4 vertical?

I saw your additions to your pic and added a line or two to my post under it. Just wanted to make sure you saw that.

Your supports look good. You should be OK with that.

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best footing you can make is to dig a 16" deep hole, depending if the ground is wet or not under there fill 6" with dry or wet cement, (dry if the ground is wet, you get a harder footing if it soaks in the moisture from the ground) add your 4x4 tight into place and fill the rest up with wet or dry concrete. Sub floors are my specialty. I am a flooring contractor for over 20 years now so i am not just giving you wannabe info.

Your right Frankie, I studied for the GC Block exam, just never took the test.

Varga the holes in the blocks need to go vertical, not horizontal.

Yes! What you have there is not worth the time imo. Here is a thread i started with BigAl a while ago. Please add to it as you go. Your support will help build the thread.

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously this is the last time I EVER go down there I am covered in cement, mud, spyder webs, and of course my favorite; rat droppings which by the way does not taste as bad as you would think

I think we are good to go. 4 jacks, 4 bags of cement and one sturdy house
