Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

no, its not really bad. my dad & i took an outside brick load bearing wall at my parents, knocked the a 18ft section of it out, put an 8x8 header with 2 8x8 upright studs in the middle for support & one on each end bolted to the concrete block to support the ends. passed inspection with no problem, then we added 3 outside walls around the opening to make a huge family room. so 3 4x4 will be plenty for a 8ft section of a support wall.

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am seriously thinking about putting water in it today!!! silicone appears to be fully cured. I cut my test blob and it is completely dry inside and its much bigger than anything in the tank. what you guys think?

I'm gonna dig into the wall some more. maybe shove the tank in the wall this weekend and start making RO water which I'm guessing will take 6-7 days!!!

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put some water in there man! You want to give it a good soak anyway to remove anything on the surface of the epoxy right? Give it a fresh water bath and see if it leaks.

Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

Silicone has been drying for 96 hours I think that should be enough. I'm gonna try and get the tank off the saw horses and put it on the ground but most likely have to wait till 3PM when Susan gets here and she can help me.
