Re: Varga's 300 Gallon In-Wall Build!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Benjamin Moore 2 part epoxy. its used in huge containers used for storing drinking water.

my old plywood tank had wood braces but I removed them because they were blocking too much light and replace them with 3/8" metal bars from Home depot. just drilled two holes and slided the bar through with bolts at the end, I'm gonna do that to the new tank today and post pix. blocks no light at all and I'm pretty sure it will never break under pressure

Very cool!! BrianE had a large 320 gallon (I think) reef tank made with three sides of plywood. It was in operation for several years with no issues.

For the metal braces did you use Stainless? I was wondering about corrosion?

Very cool build. I can't wait to see it in the wall and running. Interresting concept. Maybe if I ever get the in wall tank I want we can go this route.
