| Over Achiever | Re: 70 gallon chronicle in the works. Wolfy, go with the T-5 fixture. There is a lot of good data out there with these fixtures. There may be some limitations as to what you can stock, but believe me there are many, many beautiful corals that you will be able to keep. As you advance in the hobby, you can upgrade. Get what you can afford and have fun! |

| Torch coral | Re: 70 gallon chronicle in the works. Wow look at that store! Tanks everywhere. I live in a somewhat rural area of CA so out two LFS in my county are nice but not that big! That 90g looks sweeet! But do you really need them to give you premixed salt water? A bucket of salt mix is only like 40 bucks online. Maybe you dont have an RO/DI unit? Deffenetly get sme lights you want. What are you planning on keeping? I will go back and read incase I missed that. I bought a Tek T5 light a few weeks ago. You can see it on my chronicle int he link below.

| Achilles Tang | Re: 70 gallon chronicle in the works. i did some more looking around and i found a used 90 gallon tank with tank, sump, skimmer,250w PC, stand for $850. I would be selling the lights and upgrading to something brighter. so i think that is the deal i will be going for. I would like to keep a little bit of everything. but i can do without SPS. I love the store. It is the only place i will but live goods from. the people are almost like family now. here is a link to there page so you can see their store setup. Marine Dreams

I dont have a RO DI unit but im looking into one. the TBS packages are WAY too expensive. I live in Tampa bay also so i may just go diving lol about the lights you suggested. Are you laking about the 700w light or the 500 watt light?

| Achilles Tang | Re: 70 gallon chronicle in the works. i put the deposit on the tank. look for the setup somewhere after mothersday. the tank also had a balast and light for a UV steralizer but the housing was missing. The store said that they would give me 30-40% off a new UV unit. should i go for it?
