Dang Brooks! That's really a professional looking job!

Are you planning on sump and other supporting equipment being in the room with the hot water heater? Or is that stuff going to be under the tank?

yes I plan for everything to be in the room and under the tank will be storage. The wall is about 10 feet from the hot water heater and about 14 feet from the back of the tank so I have plenty of room for everything I can think of. I even built the wall so the opening can be expanded easily to 8 feet. LOL just in case I need to upgrade

Having things out from under the tank sure do make things easier to work on. That was the best thing I did for myself and for my system. It's so easy to clean the skimmer, test the water, and all those necessary tasks.

got 3 coats on it today and just did the finish coat.

oh and the paper in the tank my wife did for visual effect.

OH! WAIT! I get it now! You're getting all James Bond on us and you're going to crawl up into the ceiling, over the wall, and down into the other room! Very clever!

the Door behind the tank is actually to the left of the new wall in the last pic. we have a big storage room behind it.
