Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

I'll trade you, my empty 120g tank with stand, for the solaris. That solves ALL of your problems, doesn't it?

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

ok question for those that know more then me. so everyone I have a question.

I was looking at the glass hole over flows today and I was thinking about removing the 2 that are in my tank already and adding 2 of the glass hole ones. So what I am wondering is the back of the tank tempered? I would use the holes currently in the bottom of the tank as my intakes for the close loop and the 2 3/4's as a part of the close loop return.

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

It's very doubtful that the back is tempered. No guarantee of course, but very doubtful.

i agree with Terry, its unlikely that the back of the tank is tempered

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

If you know who the manufacturer is, send them an email and ask. Most manufacturers are really good about responding.

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

You might just want to confirm with the manufacturer.

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

waiting to hear back from them.

is it worth going from about 1200 gph with the stock overflows to 3000 gph with the glass hole over flows

Re: Brooks93 210 gal of money hole

Thats what I did BUT I did it with siphon overflow boxes. LifeReef rocks!

I would have preferred to drill it. The problem with the 450 though was there wasn't anyway I could lay it on it's side, drill it, then stand it back up. I was worried about damaging it, not to mention is weighs almost 1,000 lbs.

I'm having a 2" bulkhead installed inside a shallow overflow box at the top for the 360g predator tank so I won't be using a siphon box on it.
