Carl,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Haven't "spoken" with you before, but read about your grandfather. You are in many thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Jen. Nice meeting you.

Well im back and ive come home to a problem Somehow ive lost a bit of water to evap. i have never seen this amount of water disappear. anyway... it cleared my sump and left my temp probe out of water which cooled down to about 60 degrees and cut my heater on... hopefully my heaters built in probe hasnt failed. my water feels cooler than usual but im unsure.

from what i can tell no livestock has died. xenia pulsing... sea hare STILL alive. EVERYONE has said these guys rarely last through 6 weeks.. mine has. hes lived through all the newb mistakes as well.. including swimming to close to my siphon. Everything. My tank is hazy. Ive got a foul odor comin from the tank so im sure my par. are out of wack... ive got a water change getting ready its been close to 2 weeks since the last my fire shrimp molted again im guessing from stress if thats possible. ive got a ton of tiny white snails on my windows the have little feather nets... vermitids i guess.

some of my newest zoanthids have some feather duster friends poppin out.

Also what do ceri. snails do when stressed...or dying... or laying eggs. a couple of my snails have little white trails coming from them.

Oh yeah and on top of it all my grandfather bought me some corals on his last day out on merrit island and i need my tank back in shape before my parents get home with my grandma fri...

ok i think im done..

Re: Taking A Break...

Bring your water level back up with freash ro/di, then do your water change.

Bring your temp in line slowly.

The increase in salt as well as the colder water temp. may have your snails trails gelling, just a thought. Sounds like you'll be OK.

Re: Taking A Break...

I'm very sorry about your grandfather. It's hard losing someone we are close to. I will say an extra prayer for him and you today.

I hope your tank shapes up quickly. As I remember you are in Georgia, how far away from Gainesville?
