Re: Megs first reef Experience (29g acrylic)

I told her..... but you know how that goes sometimes... The brittle had been in my fuge for about a year... had it in the fuge of my old 55g... She HAD to have it in her new tank... the thing is the size of a dinner plate!

Re: Megs first reef Experience (29g acrylic)

the brittle is now back in the fuge... I think we are going to try to trade it for store credit at the LFS. He is a ton bigger than when we got him a year ago... Maybe he will give us a couple bucks on him..

Re: Megs first reef Experience (29g acrylic)

I'm sorry to hear about that, Megan.

That's where research and reading about the animals we would like to keep helps prevent these things from happening. Although, I AM surprised that the brittle ate a puffer.

Re: Megs first reef Experience (29g acrylic)

We are assuming that's what happened. The puffer is MIA, and the brittle's center disk looks awful fat. We moved the rock around, but no signs of a body. the puffer was only about 1.5" long.

Ahhhh man, it was a baby. I'd be VERY concerned about the puffer releasing toxins into the water and killing everything else though.

Thats why I took apart the tank looking for it. It was actually close to a year old. It was a small variety.. Saddleback... It was a cool fish too. I used to hand feed it stomatellas!

Great to see your tank Megan. It is beautiful. You have a really nice daddy. You should be sure to thank him but I am sure you already have. You seem like a very sweet young lady. Lee is another sweet young lady so I hope you get to talk to her often.
Keep up the good work.
