Re: Terry's 450g upgrade

We ending up not going to the museum. We sat around here and talked. Then we went to Winchester and went to that cool pet store up there but they had sold most of their birds. So it wasn't that much fun anymore. Then we went to IHOP for lunch, then on to Lowes and I bought the biggest part of the plumbing I'll need. We just got home 1/2 hour ago. Now that my parents are on their way home, it's time for some serious chilling. Later on, we are going to give the tank another good cleaning. Now that it's up on the stand, we can really see places that we missed.

Maybe after that I'll start the plumbing. Then again, maybe not...

Re: Terry's 450g upgrade

Are you feeling ok, Greg?

Well, I got my first beauty added to the tank today. She is an exotic, beautiful creature from Hawaii.

We gave the tank another thorough cleaning and then Patti humored me and layed down in the tank to give you a perspective of the size of this tank. She is 5' 10".

We got all the bulkheads installed and now I'm done for the night.

Re: Terry's 450g upgrade

Jack first recommended using magic erasers to clean the inside of the glass almost a year ago. He said he had been using them longer than that and hasn't had any adverse effect on the animals. I started using them to clean the glass on the inside of my two tanks probably 5 months ago. They don't seem to cause any negative effect what so ever. And the glass really sparkles after using them and the algae comes off really easily and quickly. I wouldn't use them on an acrylic tank though because I bet they would scratch them.

She has already jumped. There isn't anyway I'll be able to keep her in the tank. She is WAY to independent!
