No, definitive not JoJo. The feathers are very small, few rust does not change the water values measurably. In addition, iron is only hard proves, however, all the other values would be untouched from the rust in that small amount.

Thanks Heinz. We turn the sump pump off three times a day, which causes this valve to operator. I wonder if that usage will keep the valve clean. I guess time will tell. So far so good though.

to clean the valves JoJo ..... the water flow back in to the sump and clean hopefully the valves.... and the same hopefully happens if Terry the flow switcht on again.

We have Anthias now and they need to be fed a minimum of three times a day. Before I dump the mysis in, I turn the pump off, otherwise, they'd end up in the skimmer.

dfurbee, this tank has already started to cause issues for me. I usually go down to give the fish their morning food and before I know it, 45 minutes has past. Then I have to rush to get ready for work.

We did buy a nice, reclining couch and love seat for this room. I know where our evenings will be spent now.

I also ordered a new Olympus 1030SW camera. It takes movies AND it's WATER PROOF down to 33 feet!

I'm happy to know that the Chromis are still doing well. I'm sure they are much happier in your 450g then they ever were in my 75!
