LOL! I know...that's why I posted that picture. She's very expressive with her hands and flips the bird a lot. She doesn't realize what she's doing. She was probably just moving her fingers around and Tommy just happend to catch that picture. LOL!

Re: The 180gal Family Project

We haven't been working on the tank lately. We've both been tired and just had other stuff to do. Tommy's cousin is in town for a little while from New Orleans and she's moving to Seattle in a couple of weeks so we're spending some time with her. Tommy and his brother moved the monster tank stand into the living room and we've definately got some shimming to do to make it level. Hopefully we'll get the tank moved in this weekend or the next and start plumbing.

Re: The 180gal Family Project

Ok...we have the stand in the living room...the problem is that it's WAY unlevel. The stand itself is level, but as soon as we put it on the carpet, the front is a little more than 1/2" lower than the back. I'm guess that it's because of the carpet pad. The carpet pad doesn't really get much wear 2" from the wall, but who knows. Any ideas on how to go about getting it level?

Re: The 180gal Family Project

I have really bad experience with carpet under tanks. My tank I had to put wedges under the front to keep level. I swear when I get my own place I will tear out all the carpet and put tile instead. If you can remove the carpeting just under the tank you will have a much more stable piece of furniture.

Is this still where the tank goes ? Have you installed carpet here instead ?

Re: The 180gal Family Project

we decded to put it on the opposite wall so we can plumb it through to the garage and use the garage for a sump room...Here's the wall...
