No, I'm convinced that the thing to do is line the entire basement with acrylic, fill it with these beautiful animals, tear out the floor on the first floor, and put down shatter proof acrylic so you can see down into the aquarium.

Re: brooks93 90 gal bow.

Or buy another 2 foot Solaris...

If you can afford it, I would hang onto the 48" solaris and order a 72". When the 72" comes in, which might be sometime this fall, THEN sell the 48". For now, I'd use the 48" though.

Re: brooks93 90 gal bow.

I was thinking about that. I would rather have a 72 then piecing them together. mmmmm maybe I dont' want to see how much a 72 is.

lol

Re: brooks93 90 gal bow.

not needed right now anyway.

going to look into moving the overflows to the sides and use the holes already in the bottom for close loop, then I need to cut a big hole in the wall and build the stand and top, etc

Sounds like a really entertaining couple of weekends! I'm glad I've been there, done that and I'm done with that now.

Only one problem with that. The acrylic gets scratched when you walk on it or anything else.
I went to a club in Miami that had a tank for the bartop and the dance floor. The one on the dance floor was really torn up and you could barely see. Kinda frightening to the fish as well I would think.

Good luck on the upgrade. That is going to be lots of fun.

Re: brooks93 90 gal bow.

more then a couple of weekends

going to put tape on the wall and see what it will look like. It would be cool to have it in the wall but, I am nervous about it. Might put it in the basement still
